We recently heard from Liston College about their new coach and how the 1st XI team was going. Read what they have to say... "Liston College 1st XI is extremely grateful to members of the Queen Street Cricket Club for their generous grant to funding coaching costs for both the current school term and for the first term of 2021. Morale has certainly increased within the team since a coach was appointed. I attended the match on Saturday against Glendowie College and while they won by 63 runs, our boys acquitted themselves very well. For the Year 13 students, it was their final match as a student and their parents were out in full force to support them - one of the boys having a memorable game taking 5 wickets," — a message we recently received from Liston College!
We are honoured to be supporting the great game of cricket at this school, and it means a lot to hear how well players are doing. Coach Sam Devereaux says the team involves a mixture of players from year 11-13, several who are part of representative teams. Training this season have been goal-oriented and their aim is to continuously focus on improving as players and as a team. Nice work guys! Comments are closed.
