As the summer approaches our flock of schools, clubs, players and coaches are all starting up their programs and activities. It has, in my view, been a watershed year for the QSCC in terms of activities and engagement. We have had some great projects to support, and several new ones emerging. We have given or pledged around $70,000 in the year to date. This is in addition to the large amount of gear that we have re-distributed from the generosity of Players Sports... Sadly one of the impacts of the Covid lockdowns has been the interruption of key funding sources such as NZCT through their pokies. As a result, we have had more than usual requests from clubs in particular, to fund their youth programs.
We are grateful for the continued support of members to help fund our projects.While the season ahead has only four tests, there are four countries coming and plenty of short form games. Have a great summer of cricket! Comments are closed.
